In late 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to work with the company What Do You Meme? on their then-upcoming board game, Search Party. I created renders that helped to visualize the product, for both advertising and manufacturing purposes. This project required lots of cross-platform work between Adobe Illustrator and Maya; I had to work with die-cut illustrations laid out in Illustrator, and export the die-cut shapes as curves to Maya. At key articulation points, I had to manually model the shapes, and ensure that they held up to the originally intended layout. I also had to make sure that the illustrations read legibly in the form of textures in Maya. Ultimately, this project ended up being a fun technical challenge, and won TOTY Game of the Year 2023 and a nomination for TAGIE Game Innovators of the Year.
